File consists of notes and photographs of Barry Callaghan’s attendance at a translator’s conference in Paris where he befriended Pierre Morency; supper with Timothy Findley at Stone Orchard in Cannington, Ontario; an evening at home with sculptor Sorel Etrog; Ascot, England where Claire Wilks and Callaghan attended in the Royal Enclosure; Paris visit with Robert Marteau and his partner Neige; celebration of Callaghan’s 50th birthday at 69 Sullivan Street, where he was given the racehorse Fox on the Prowl (fathered by Great Gladiator, he went on to win six races); a party with friends; an actor met in New Orleans; Denmark and Sweden where Callaghan gave several readings and Wilks opened her show in Stockholm with the introduction made by Tomas Tranströmer; and Saratoga Springs for the August racing, joined by Morley Callaghan.
