File consists of notes and photographs that document Barry Callaghan's travels: a visit to Calgary where he met Anik Bawden; a trip to Beograd, Serbia in Oct. 1983 accompanied by Bawden at readings given by Callaghan, John Montague, Robert Marteau and Miodrag Pavlovic; and Callaghan and Bawden in Venice, boarding the Orient Express. Other entries include Irving Layton's birthday celebration in Toronto with Aviva Layton and Claire Wilks; a visit to Ottawa and Montreal with Bawden; a photograph of Callaghan after a television show on CITY TV with Allen Ginsberg, Longjohn Baldren, Zel Yanovsky, the daughter of Jack Kerouac, writer and producer Paul William Roberts, and screenwriter and author David Sobelman; trips with Bawden to Montreal, Toronto and Guadaloupe; Toronto's Harbourfront Festival with Morley Callaghan; photographs of a trip to Stockholm for a reading of the Hogg poems, Helsinki, and Latvia that was later written about as “Flowers for the Forgotten”; and a photograph of Callaghan playing the role of a union leader in a full-length movie directed by Ron Mann.
