Scope and content
Files in this subseries primarily consist of correspondence and memoranda created and/or acquired by Mandel in his role as a professor and administrator at Osgoode Hall Law School. These records pertain to Mandel’s teaching load and academic work, Osgoode administrative subjects, and his involvement with Osgoode’s Italian law course and exchange program with the University of Bologna. Many of the correspondence files in this series also include letters concerning Mandel’s non-academic activities, including his writing and activism pertaining to prison reform and anti-war campaigns. Files documenting Mandel’s involvement with an Osgoode Hall Law School cafeteria boycott in 1987-88 are also part of this subseries.
