              2021-027/001(02) · File · 1906-1907
Part of Clara Thomas Archives collection

File consists of 48 silver gelatin prints mounted onto stiff white leaves with another 7 prints loosely inserted. Several of the mounted prints have captions and most of the people in the loose prints are identified. The first page of the album bears the inscription, "A.M.M.C., from W.M.W. June, 1906." The photographs show construction of the C.P.R.'s rail line near Wolseley and Grenfell, Saskatchewan, including: group images of the construction crew; views of the camp in summer and winter; railway tracks and bridges under construction; surveyors with their equipment; railway stations and streets in Wolseley and other towns; a grain elevator; a view of Quebec City and the Chateau de Frontenac hotel; a paddle steamer (possibly on the St. Lawrence River); and a passenger car of the Gatineau Railway.
