    General note

See 2016-034/001(01) for further details about the scrapbook which Jose describes in his interview with Kastner: “I think the black “Yvonne Vera Scrapbook” was my idea, but she was also very involved and excited when we started it. The success of the first books was the most exciting time, and we kept everything, then as time went on success became routine and notices more numerous and we grew less thorough. After my visit to Yvonne’s Zimbabwe home in 1996, notices were less likely to come to my attention, so the collection is less complete. But this binder stayed with me throughout the years.”
