Scope and content

File consists of various posters relating to Greek cultural and political events, predominantly musical performances (many at coffee houses such as The Trojan Horse, Lyra and Esperides), but also including theatrical performances, events organized by political organizations, such as EAM, and exhibitions. Some of the posters have annotations overleaf (which appear to be event set lists or table plans). Includes posters for musicians such as Manos Loizos, the Companeros, Marcelo Puente (poster is inscribed to George Papadatos) and Maria Farantouri (the concert tour of North America presented by Sotos Kappas). File also includes poster advertising Papadatos’ weekly newspaper, Metanastis, a reproduction of a political poster featuring a quote by Aggelos Sikelianos and posters for the 1980 University of Toronto event “Images of Modern Greece”, organized by Papadatos.
