File consists of meeting minutes, agendas, discussion papers, event flyers, reading lists, correspondence, newspaper clippings, draft party policy and constitution documents presented at Ontario Waffle meetings between March and July 1973. File includes a Waffle Movement card with an illustrated Canadian flag background dated 1973, pamphlets for the Ontario Waffle Convention ‘73 and ‘Canadian Politics in Historical Perspective,’ a lecture series organized by the Toronto Waffle Educational Commitee, with lecturers that included Caroline Brown, Lorne Brown, John Hutcheson, Jim Laxer, his father Robert Laxer, Stanley Ryerson, Mel Watkins and Reg Whitaker. File includes statements made by the Ontario Waffle regarding the United States’ tariff on Canadian tires in 1973 and newspaper clippings of a public letter from Maxwell W. Ward, President of Wardair Canada Limited regarding a strike within the airline and an article on Ford Motor Company’s move to Brazil for manufacturing. File also includes ‘Ontario Waffle Resolutions’ reached after the Ontario Waffle Provincial Council Meeting between March 31st and April 1st, 1973 with the booklet signed by James Bay. File also includes Graham L Kay’s resignation from the Waffle movement in 1973, an article written about Karleton Armstrong, council minutes, resolutions and labour policy passed by the Ontario Waffle at the movement’s council meeting between July 14 and 15, 1973.
