Fonds consists of records created and accumulated by Marilou McPhedran through her activities as a lawyer, legal reformer, and activist. These records illustrate the breadth and variety of McPhedran's work in the areas of constitutional reform, women's international and national rights, women's health, and violence against women and children. Included in the fonds are administrative records of a number of non-profit organizations and committees of which she was a founder, including the Women's Legal Education Action Fund, the Gerstein Centre, the Metropolitan Action Committee on Violence against Women and Children, and the Ad Hoc Committee of Canadian Women on the Constitution. Other records in this fonds, including subject files, correspondence and conference materials, document McPhedran's academic, research and writing work and her contracted work for women's health organizations.

Fonds consists of the organizational records of the Mariposa Folk Foundation Inc., the volunteer organization established to manage and operate the Mariposa Folk Festival. Also includes donations of material from early organizers of the Mariposa Folk Festival prior to the incorporation of the Mariposa Folk Foundation.

The fonds also includes a collection of letters and photographs that Williamson sent home during her stay at various summer camps between 1940 and 1951, material related to the Moore Park Ratepayers' Association, and a collection that Williamson acquired consisting of 63 photocopied letters from literary and artistic figures in Canada such as Susanna Moodie and George Munro Grant, addressed to Louisa Murray (1818-1894), literary critic and writer on feminist issues.

Fonds consists of dance notations recorded using Labanotation or Kinetography Laban, created or acquired by Mary Jane Warner and used in her work as a professor of dance. The notations take the form of manuscript symbols hand-drawn by Warner while a student at Ohio State University (including Labanotation for her dissertation), photocopies of works produced by other notators, and printed works published by the Dance Notation Bureau and the Royal Academy of Dancing. The notations are grouped according to elementary, intermediate, and advanced readings, with titles that often include the name of the choreographer and, in some cases, the notator. The works of Doris Humphrey, Ray Cook, Anthony Tudor, George Balanchine, Muriel Topaz, and Ann Hutchinson Guest figure prominently among the notations. The fonds also includes Warner’s lecture notes on the history of dance notation and Labanotation, material on teaching dance, notes for a lecture on E.A. Theleur’s "Letters on dancing : reducing this elegent and healthful exercise to easy scientific principles" (London, 1831), and programs and proceedings from various international conferences on Labanotation and Kinetography Laban.

The collection consists of material related to James Milner's career in the area of community planning law and includes a copy of the article written by Mary Louise Bogart and John Edward Page on Milner as well as correspondence relating to its publication. In addition, there is material on the Town Planning Institute of Canada (TPIC), predominantly materials of a historical nature. There are also several audio reels and cassettes of interviews with planners and members of the TPIC who were Milner's colleagues. Finally, there are some microfilm copies of studies done in the area of land conservation. Some of this material was removed from the Milner fonds during the time it was held by the Faculty of Environmental Studies, York University.

The fonds consists of audio recordings in various formats of performances held at The Music Gallery including performances by artists such as James Tenney, Lubomyr Melnyk, Nihilist Spasm Band, Morton Feldman, bp nichol and Casey Sokol, Roy Kiyooka, Gil Evans, Rob Frayne, Nexus, CEE, Ken Vandermark, Michael Brook, Derek Bailey and Ron Sexsmith as well as audio recordings of the CCMC's performances at The Music Gallery and the master recordings for numerous Music Gallery Editions recordings. Records consist mainly of correspondence and subject files relating to various dance companies such as Dance Oremus Danse and the Isadora Duncan School of Modern Dance. Also included are dance programmes, Dwyer's published articles and photographs of colleagues such as Jeanne Bresciani, Lori Belliveau, Nadia Chilkovsky, and Anita Zhan. Accession 2007-059 includes correspondence with Madeleine Lytton regarding her dance career in the tradition of Isadora Duncan, correspondence and other documentation regarding the collections of books, photographs, and other material pertaining to Duncan owned by Leo and Lillian Loewenthal and Howard Holtzman, Ella Bobrow's book on Irina Odoevtseva, a program for the memorial dance performance for Hortense Kooluris, and promotional material for a wide variety of performers involved in dance, opera, and baroque music.

The fonds consists of correspondence to Paul Sullivan from family members, including 22 letters from cousin Vernon Sullivan written between 1911-1915 and describing the daily life, concerns, and opinions of a young man first as a farm worker, and then teacher, on the prairies immediately prior to enlisting to fight in World War I at the age of 16. There are also ca. 40 letters from brother Edgar Sullivan written between 1914-1943 describing the life of a homesteader who has moved to Saskatchewan to homestead and operate a business during difficult economic times. The fonds also includes diaries (1915-1971), municipal tax notices (1886-1961), personal correspondence, family wills, deeds and mortgages (from 1848), some business papers, 4 newspapers, a child's book, ca. 15 photographs and 3 business ledgers (1934-1950). The letters are arranged chronologically.

Fonds consists of personal diaries, teaching notes and writing, performance and family memorabilia, diplomas, correspondence, sheet music, photographs and audio recordings pertaining to the personal life and professional career of Peggie Sampson, including her early activities as a music student, her work as a professor of music, and her performances on the cello and viola da gamba. These records also document her associations with early teachers Guilhermina Suggia, Donald Francis Tovey, Nadia Boulanger and Pablo Casals, as well as her work with the Manitoba University Consort during the 1960s and the Quatre en Concert in the 1970s. The personal diaries in the fonds span Sampson's time in Edinburgh and London during World War II to her immigration to Canada in 1951 to teach at the University of Manitoba and her employment at York University from 1970 to 1977.

The collection consists of photocopies of newspaper clippings, one audio tape cassette which contains an interview with Jules Heller, first dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at York, and three copies of the transcript of the tape.

The fonds consists of drafts of published and unpublished poems, plays, stories, and novels, including those written for creative writing courses taken at York, drafts of poems written for her published poetry collections 'How to Draw Blood from a Stone,' 'Confessions of a Fertility Expert,' 'Pretending to Die,' 'Live Coverage,' 'Successful Tragedies: Poems 1998-2010' and 'Traumatology'. Also included is correspondence, research files, notes, and drafts related to Uppal's two novels 'The Divine Economy of Salvation' and 'To Whom it May Concern.' The fonds also includes the edited drafts of submissions and correspondence related to 'Uncommon Ground: A Celebration of Matt Cohen'. Files in the fonds also pertain to Uppal's work preparing anthologies as editor for 'The Exile Book of Poetry in Translation: Twenty Canadian Poets Take on the World' and 'The Exile Book of Canadian Sports Stories.' Records in this fonds also include personal and professional correspondence, drafts of plays, files regarding literary activities, including grant applications, personal appearances at conferences and events to promote publications, editorial work, writing workshops, and literary ephemera such as posters, programmes, flyers, catalogues and T-shirts. The fonds also includes teaching evaluations filled out by Uppal's students at York University, as well as literary works, stories, examinations, and final project submissions by graduate students whose work was supervised by Priscila Uppal.

The fonds consists of minutes of Association meetings (1970-1977), the constitution, correspondence, material relative to a document on the status librarians submitted to the Senate Library Committee, material relative to the Presidential Committee on the Status of Professional Librarians, labour-related material including appointments, negotiations, samples of collective agreements and of librarians' status at other universities and material relating to salaries and benefits.

The fonds consists of papers, background material and newspaper clippings relating to the 'Centennial Conference' of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada held in Montmorency, Quebec in August, 1967. There are also newspaper clippings relating to the leadership convention of September 1967 when Robert Stanfield was elected leader of the national party.

The fonds consists of correspondence, notes, a scrapbook, publications and galley proofs of publications, both by Richard Henry Tawney and by the Workers' Educational Association. For Tawney there are notes on a book about the economic thinker Henry George (which was apparently never written), chapters in typescript and handwritten for 'Equality,' and page proofs for 'Twentieth Century socialism,' as well as articles and reviews (in typescript and handwritten and published) for 'The highwayman,' (publication of the Workers' Educational Association), correspondence with colleagues in adult education and history, and a scrapbook of newspaper clippings with some handwritten correspondence, relating to the Tawney family in England and India. For the Workers' Educational Association there are galleys of articles, and related correspondence for 'The highwayman'. There is also material of a general nature, including reports, correspondence and conference proceedings, and articles related to the education of trade unionists.

Fonds consists of correspondence, manuscripts, typesets, cover art, notebooks, video and audio recordings, research materials, photographs, published journals and copies of articles and interviews about Zolf and her poetry. The records document Zolf's work as a poet, editor, critic and as a documentary and experimental filmmaker. Poetry files provide information about Zolf's work in researching, financing, writing, editing and publishing her poetry and her relationships with other poets. Editing files document Zolf's work as a freelance editor and as the founding poetry editor for The walrus magazine. Video production files document Zolf's work as a researcher, producer and director of documentary and experimental video and film.

Fonds consists of music used by the Rex Battle Orchestra, including a series of envelopes arranged alphabetically by song title that contain published scores and lyrics, as well as original arrangements by Rex Battle. Notes written on the envelopes show names of songs, composers and publishers, as well as the music’s key, performance dates, costs of the published music and the breakdown of the scores by instrument. This fonds also consists of orchestral scores and sheet music for the piano, organ, violin, viola, clarinet, and other instruments.
