File consists of an album containing 60 silver gelatin prints placed on black paper using corner mounts. Many of the prints are identified on the photograph and a few have descriptions written in pencil on the verso. The images document visits to communities in Canada, as well as California, Oregon, Portland, and Seattle. Photographs taken in Canada include a Canadian National Railway town and snow plows, Wainwright, Edmonton, housing on the prairies, bridges and the Manitoba Legislative Building in Winnipeg, the prairie west of Winnipeg, the rail approach to Jasper park, views of the park and a car used by the Jasper Park Lodge, the coal pier and elevator in Port Arthur, Ontario, Victoria harbour, and piers in Vancouver harbour. The album also contains several views of the Peninsula Lumber Company and piers along the waterfront in Portland, Lake Washington canal and a dry dock in Seattle, Colorado Springs, the San Francisco waterfront, Sacramento, Long Beach, and travelling through Nevada and Utah.
