The Canadian History of Education Association / Association canadienne d’histoire de l’éducation (CHEA/ACHÉ) was founded at a conference in Calgary on 14 Feb. 1980, which was organized by Robert Stamp, Nancy Sheehan, and David Jones. Conferences were held every two years in cities across Canada, occasionally with the History of Education Society (based in the United States). The CHEA/ACHÉ began publishing its scholarly journal, Historical Studies in Education /Revue d’histoire de l’éducation (HSE/RHE), in 1988.

Fonds consists of records for CHEA/ACHÉ conferences held between 2012 and 2022. The files include the call for papers, conference program, agenda for the biennial annual meeting, general meeting minutes, the President's report, the budget, and a list of award winners.
