Scope and content
Video recording of an episode of the Ben Wicks television series. In this episode, Wicks interviews Jose Lopez Portillo (2:30), President of Mexico, at his home in Mexico City. President Portillo drew caricatures and Wicks brought two drawing boards to the interview. The two men drew caricatures of one another for the duration of the interview which was conducted with a translator. The second interview is with David Crombie (12:50), former mayor of Toronto and at the time of the interview, a member of Joe Clark’s cabinet. Wicks conducted the interview while Crombie was running his daily laps on a rooftop track. Finally, Wicks interviews Ian Walker and Keith Bellows (21:02), authors of “The Canuck Book” first published in 1977, Montreal, Quebec. Produced by John T. Ross and Associates.
